The Business Administration undergraduate programme has been one of the oldest ones; first introduced in 1990 when the European University of Lefke was launched by the Cyprus Science Foundation. During the years the curriculum has been revised with the aim of creating a high qualitry Business Administration undergraduate programme, providing the student with the necessary skills and techniques in meeting the challenges of the contemporary and future business world. Students graduating from the Business Administration programme have a wide variety of career options ranging from management enterprises and organisations, to careers in the fields of trade, tourism and financial institutions, as well as the public sector and academic employment.
The basic characteristic of the Business Administration undergraduate programme is its flexibility designed to keep pace with the dynamic business world. This is achieved by concentrating on the interdisciplinary nature of the Business and Economics Programmes and the multi-disciplinary aspect of education given in the Faculty of Economics and Administration draws upon the foundation of organization theory and practice, management, sociology, and psychology, history, language, communication, politics, law, organizational behaviour, economics, banking, finance, accounting, production, marketing, tourism, human resources, international business, strategic management, mathematics, statistics, computer information systems and research studies. Teaching methods are designed to develop the problem solving skills of the students in the effective management of the firm and its environment.
