ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS APPLYING FOR TRANSFER TO ANY OF THE EUL UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Admission Requirements for Transfer Students
Applications for transfer to our University are also accepted. Candidates holding a diploma or other relevant qualification may be entitled to entry to the second, third of final year of a programme. Transfer students are required to send their transcripts and the course descriptions of the studies undertaken. Their files will be evaluated by the relevant Department and a list of exempted courses will be provided to the applicant accordingly. Candidates will be placed in the relevant year upon the result of the evaluation of the studies undertaken and the number of courses exempted.
English Language Requirements for Transfer Applicants
In addition to the academic entry requirements, there are also English Language requirements for admission into the degree programmes. Applicants whose first language is not English or who have not studied their secondary education in English should include with their application one of the following as evidence of their English language proficiency:
- GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level English – Grade ‘C’
- TOEFL – Paper Based Score (PBT) of 500; Computer Based Score (CBT) of 176; and Internet Based Score (IBT) of 62
- IELTS – Score 5,5
- Cambridge Proficiency Test in English – Grade ‘C’
Other English language qualifications equivalent to the above may also be accepted.
The medium of instruction at the University is English. Therefore, students who do not meet one of the above English language requirements will be requested to pass the University’s “English Proficiency Examination” or attend a period of instruction in the English Preparatory School. The duration of this instruction will depend on the student’s current level of English, ranging from one semester to one academic year (please see the EUL Preparatory School’s webpage for detailed information on English Language Requirements and the English Proficiency Examination).
