Construction Technology - General Information
The curriculum of the Associate Degree Program in Civil Engineering is planned to offer a course of study leading to an internationally recognized associate degree. The students are prepared for a variety of professions in civil engineering fields.
Students successfully completing two year courses are entitled to an “Associate” in Civil Engineering. Those who wish to become civil engineers may continue their education in Civil Engineering department providing they have required CGPA.
Design Rationale
In designing the associate degree programme the following framework has been used.
1. The language of instruction and communication is English.
2. The associate degree programme integrates to prepare the student for a professional career in the civil engineering field as an associate member.
3. The students must acquire sufficient practical skills as well as theoretical expertise so as to be able to make an immediate contribution to their first -time employer.
4. The student must be aware of the impact his/her profession have had and could have on society and his/her immediate professional responsibilities.
