Computer Programming - General Information
Advanced Vocational School is one of the schools of the European University of Lefke. It has six departments, namely Computer Programming, Public Relations and Publicity, Management, Construction Technology, TV Production and Design and Visual Communication. The duration of the education is two years and the medium of instruction is English. Prior to coming to the Advanced Vocational School the students should study one year English in Preparatory School. The minimum cummulative grade (CGPA) to graduate from any department of this school is 2.00 out of 4.00. After completing the Vocational School the students may get placement in their respective area of specialisations such as programmers, technicians, and skilled assistants.
After completing the study in any department of Advanced Vocational School, if the student desires to join a 4-year degree program, he should enter the DGS examination organised by ÖSYM and passed it. After then, if he joins our university, he needs to study one year preparatory school if his English is poor. Afterwards they have to study at most 3 semesters as an adoptation in the corresponding department of the faculty and complete successfully, then they can join the department and start from the third year on.
Now, we are planning to increase the number of the departments in the Advanced Vocational School. We want to offer a new department such and Electrical and Electronics Technicians.
