The objectives of the MA Program is to equip students with more specialized training than undergraduate ptogrammes to help them develop their abilities to apply International Relations and political concepts and techniques in the practical and contemporary world. The program is designed to be flexible, allowing for curriculum changes to meet new developments. The program also intends to motivate those students with potential for Ph.D Studies.
Our Master in International Relations offers two options to the students :
MA in International Relations without thesis
A total of 30 credit hours without a thesis, is required to obtain the MA Degree. The program consists of 10 courses (30 credits hours) plus a term-project (non-credit) normally completed in 2 semesters. The maximum time limit for completion of the program is two years. This may only be extended in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Faculty Postgraduate Board.
The lecturers will provide students with both a theoretical and practical understanding of their subjects. Those who successfully complete the programme will qualify for a Master Degree.
MA in International Relations with a thesis
The program consists of 8 courses (24 credits); one seminar and thesis. The Seminar and Thesis are non-credit.
One year is required for the thesis after completion of the courses and the seminar. The normal time limit for completion of the program is two years. This may be extended in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Faculty Postgraduate Board.
